It
has been too
long
since
I have lain with
you
my
dragon
lover
back
between the smooth black
rocks of the
stream
where
muscle and tail slap the
mud and
water
willing
never to waste another hour
on
civilization
Too
long since I have lain with
you
my
dragon
lover
deep
in the humid caverns of
earth
where
walls and points push too
close to be
clear
thick
instinct fills the darkness
Eons
poisoned unwittingly I have
become a shell, a
stump
dead
from the gut
out
an
ideal member of the
workforce
would
you even know
me
now
that I myself do
not?
Too
long, too
long
it
has been too long, my
dragon
lover
since
I have lain with
you
pinned
between the jaws of your
legs
smothered
in the slow incense of your
breath
swallowed
like fresh kill on your
tongue
Night
calls,
and
I
stumble barefoot through
field and
forest
in
nothing but
pajamas.
